Job Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant our client in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The successful candidate for the Occupational Therapist Assistant position will share our client’s passion for helping others and bringing about life-changing experiences, as well as guiding patients through their treatment and helping them reach their peak results through physical and occupational therapy.
Our client also provides a training facility and provides the opportunity to improve your skills clinically and administratively, as these skills are necessary for today’s changing healthcare environment. Responsibilities:
Perform Treatment sessions with patients
Ensure patients and/or caregivers are educated and aware of their condition and prognosis
Explaining Exercises and Therapies to Patients
Keep patients accountable for therapy attendance and compliance with their plan of care.
Complete all required documentation of each visit
Updating plan of care as needed and discharging patients as needed under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
Following therapist's plan of care and communicating with the therapist regarding care
Supervising Therapy Technicians
Listening to and recording patient successes
Keeping Case management lists up to date
Assisting in Marketing efforts as requested by the Marketing department
Keeping track of individual stats and completing productivity report
We are also a training facility; you will be provided the opportunity to improve your skills clinically and administratively, as these skills are necessary for today’s changing healthcare environment. We believe that both are important to be a successful therapist.
Work Schedule:
No Call, No Weekends, a great work-life balance.
Flexible Work Shift Hours can be designed ( for example: 4/10 + 1/4 )
Skills:
Understanding of Upper Extremity and Hand treatments.
Understanding of Pediatric Treatment
Understanding of Neurological Treatments
Manual Therapy
Knowledge of OT stretches and exercises
Solid knowledge of anatomy
Physical strength and stamina
Ability to lift patients and help them move
Ability to read and execute detailed instructions
Recommending Modifications of Treatment to Occupational Therapist
Knowledge of how to progress treatment
Measuring Range of Motion
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
